Relativistic Transport Theory for Systems Containing Bound States

چکیده

Using a Lagrangian which contains quarks as elementary degrees of freedom and mesons as bound states, a transport formalism is developed, which allows for a dynamical transition from a quark plasma to a state, where quarks are bound into hadrons. Simultaneous transport equations for both particle species are derived in a systematic and consistent fashion. For the mesons a formalism is used which introduces off-shell corrections to the off-diagonal Green functions. It is shown that these off-shell corrections lead to the appearance of elastic quark scattering processes in the collision integral. The interference of the processes qq̄ → π and qq̄ → π → qq̄ leads to a modification of the s-channel amplitude of quark-antiquark scattering. PACS numbers: 52.25.Dg, 12.38.Mh, 25.75.-q, 12.39.Fe

Electronic transport in Si and Au monoatomic chains considering strongly correlation effect, a first principle study

We have investigated structure and electronic properties of Au and Si liner chains using the firstprinciplesplane wave pseudopotential method. The transport properties and conductance of these twoliner chains are studied using Landauer approaches based on density functional theory (DFT). Weobtain density of states and band gap using Kohn-Sham and Wannier functions as well as quantumconductivity...

Effective Field Theory and Matching in Non-Relativistic Gauge Theories

The effective Lagrangian and power counting rules for non-relativistic gauge theories are derived via a systematic expansion in the large c limit. It is shown that the 1/c expansion leads to an effective field theory which incorporates a multipole expansion. Within this theory there is no need for heuristic arguments to determine the scalings of operators. After eliminating c from the lowest or...

QCD forces and heavy quark bound states

The present knowledge of QCD confining forces between static test charges is summarised, with an emphasis on lattice results. Recent developments in relating QCD potentials to quarkonium properties by use of effective field theory methods are presented. The validity of non-relativistic QCD and the adiabatic approximation with respect to heavy quark bound states is explored. Besides the static p...

Perturbative breaking of the pseudospin symmetry in the relativistic harmonic oscillator

We show that relativistic mean fields theories with scalar, S, and vector, V , quadratic radial potentials can generate a harmonic oscillator with exact pseudospin symmetry and positive energy bound states when S = −V . The eigenenergies are quite different from those of the non-relativistic harmonic oscillator. We also discuss a mechanism for perturbatively breaking this symmetry by introducin...

Non-relativistic bound states: the long way back from the Bethe–Salpeter to the Schrödinger equation

The study of bound states and, in particular, of non-relativistic bound states has accompanied the quantum theory from its beginning through all its subsequent turning points up to what is now the Standard Model of particle physics. At the beginning it was the description of the hydrogen atom that led to the foundation of quantum mechanics, later the Lamb shift contributed to the development of...
